Upon release the film received highly positive reviews. ==Plot== Raghavan (Sananth), an aspiring filmmaker, goes to narrate a horror film to a producer, who instead asks for a story-less comedy film in which the hero and the comedian should keep talking throughout, and audiences should not be able to figure out who the actual hero is. Sajith (Abhishek) is an electrician living a miserable life, while Vimal (Ramesh Thilak) is a graphic designer. Srinivasan "Srini" (Arulnidhi) provides companionship in a non-sexual way to Jillu (Jangiri Madhumita), a married woman, in return for money. Out of false bravado, the four decide to check out a dilapidated mansion in De Monte Colony. They sneak into the house and have some unexpected deadly experience. The friends manage to come out unscathed. The next day, the four of them go to an astrologer (M. S. Bhaskar) for their future. Three of them get their thumb prints and their future but Sajith gets only his thumb print done, but not his future. They return home but Sajith who did not get his future goes to bed. But while Srini is on his bike, he gets a phone call from the astrologer saying that its urgent. Then the call goes out. When he goes to the spot, he finds the astrologer dead. He returns home. After some time, the friends wants to know the real truth of the De Monte Colony, so Raghavan narrates the story of the De Monte Colony. Long time ago, the area was a colony of the Portuguese business tycoon Lord John De Monte, who owns almost half of Chennai. He orders to make a special necklace as a gift for his wife's birthday. Soon after his wife became mentally ill. He mails about the situation to his son, immediately he came to know about death of his son due to this he became depressed and wants to return to his home country and goes to Calcutta to sell his properties in India before leaving. While return after 5 months De Monte came to know his mentally unstable wife was pregnant and asks the doctor to treat his wife in the house itself but the doctor refused. Thinking about his prestige, he kills the doctor and all his servants due to doubts. Angered by this, the locals sets fire on the house while De Monte shoots the gas and dies. While dying, a curse is set on the diamond necklace and whoever tries to steal it, they will be killed. And the stolen necklace will return to De Monte House in any way. Raghavan reveals that he has stolen the necklace and they can set their life ahead. Eerie things begin to happen in their room — the TV does not switch off, and instead of the DVD that they had inserted plays their own conversations where the death scenes were played. Power Goes Off, Srini Calls to EB Division for power help. Srini then adds about what happened to the astrologer. When they play the call record, its revealed that the astrologer saying that one of them has already dead the last night. They all turn towards their friend who is still sleeping. The windows and doors do not open; their cries for help are never heard outside. They take the Ouija Board then ask some dreadful questions, then find out that no one will return alive. One by one they turn up dead with Raghavan dying first, Vimal next and Srini out of the blue figures out a way to escape the room and run towards a nearby tea shop, only to find out that no one can hear him; he realises he has become a ghost after dying when he attempted to jump out of the flat.
